Hi, I'm new to the forum, has anybody else had problems with the habitation door locking when you lock the cab doors, I locked myself out accidentally doing this with the key inside, luckily a window was open and my wife climbed in.

I have a 2017 Autograph 79/6 and the habitation door is part of the central locking system, as I have only ever locked the van using the key it has never been an issue as I obviously have the key with me FYI the remote locking button locks all the doors but you can unlock the cab doors and habitation doors separately.

That's the same for me with my Bailey approach advance.

We got locked out, keys hanging up in the van, doors shut, us outside in a deckchair and all the doors locked. On their own.
Luckily managed to prise a window open and send in a 7 year old to get the keys!

A pal had this problem with his Autograph. I believe the dealer could program the van so as to not lock the hab door when locking the cab doors. Wouldn’t swear to that being the exact case.

On our Ford based Bailey I always open one of the cab doors after unlocking to stop the auto re lock working.

It appears to happen when you lock the doors using central locking, and then open the hab door manually without using the central locking. I've found that you have to give the handle a good tug to completely disengage the lock, otherwise unlock using the button on the dashboard. Not had any problems when doing it this way.

Thanks for the replies, I've taken to hiding a key outside in case it happens again (and it has), not ideal I know.
