Hi all,

I would like to fit a rear view camera to our Autograph, and wondered if anyone has done it and may have some suggestions/recommendations? I have a reversing camera but it only comes on when reversing (and points too low) and quite like the idea of the ones I've seen that show the image on the mirror.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks Kev and Carolyn, I'll have a look at that in detail.

Hi Ray-Vic, I had the reversing camera on my Bailey Alliance replaced with the
Camos's "Jewel" rear-view camera system from Road Pro.
An expensive option, but a brilliant piece of kit. Works well at night on roads with street lighting, but not so good on country roads / motorways with no lighting, but then how often to you drive country roads / motorways at night ?
Road Pro are some way from your base, but you can purchase the kit to fit yourself if you are handy with DIY. I had Road Pro fit mine and their service was exceptional, you could not tell they had been in the m/h when they had completed the work. They also allowed me to stay at their premises overnight, (with EH) , prior to installation.
I am more than happy with the camera, works well for me.
Road Pro also offer a small discount for forum members.

A camera that's good for reversing isn't necessarily good for rear view. Reversing cameras tend to be wide angle and look at your bumper. It makes vehicles even a few lengths away just dots.

In my last van I fitted a dual lens camera. I had a monitor in the cab showing a narrower angle up the road that was great for a rear view. When I hit reverse, the wide angle view down at the road went to my radio screen.
