Bailey Alliance 592
Hello

Just recently purchased a Bailey Alliance SE 952 fitted with some very nice alloys. I was shocked to see that these alloys are over £1000 each and honestly I would have not spent that sort of money on alloys.
However, they have no locking wheel nuts. 😱

I have tried with no avail to find out what size of lockable nuts I need, M14 or M16. I’ve tried Peugeot who told me to try Baileys and even Prima who sell the alloys. Unfortunately Bailey nor Prima will answer the phone.

I’m just wondering if anyone else out there may shed any light on this before my alloys go…….missing. 😂😂

Hi. I would suggest buying a "normal" M14 & an M16 nut (i.e. not wheel nuts) from somewhere like B&Q & trying them to see which one fits. Then you should be able to buy a set of locking nuts to suit.

I think the problem is that locking wheel nuts are only tough to get off if your want to use them again. A powerful battery drill and the appropriate bit can hack them off in a minute.

Hi Ninovan.
Great idea and thank you. I did measure the diameter of my wheel bolt and it’s only a 12mm but I’ll certainly try your method.

Hi Guigsy.

I totally understand and was even willing to buy Milenco bolts but no doubt “they” turn up with battery power angle grinders too so it’s only a deterrent I suppose.
I even thought to sell the alloys and just put on normal wheels as I’d rather have good looking trims than no wheels at all. 😂

That doesn't sound right a set of 4 alloys is often less than that even genuine Fiat ones are only £350 each.
Locking wheel nuts/bolts are a waste of time, if some one is goi g to nick them if will just delay them a few seconds.

Steelies are lighter too. So you'll get better performance and mpg. 😋

Hi Lenny.
I know, I thought that and still don’t believe the price. I also agree reference only a short delay but I just can’t bear to do nothing.
Let’s hope it never happens.
🤞🤞

Cheers Lenny.
Thankfully I didn’t buy them as they were already on. Nice to know that site is having a laugh and one to avoid. I certainly search everywhere before I buy anything and thanks for your advice.
