We have a new to us motorhome, away on holiday in France and can’t get water to work , hadn’t come with any manuals , tank is full , pump says it’s switched on but when I operate tap nothing happens, any ideas

Reach into tank, shake the pump. Most Baileys they are dangling in the water, and get airlocked if you leave the tanks empty. It'll take a few shakes with the tap on, and you'll start to hear the water flowing and it'll eventually come out of the tap. You must shake it WITH the tap on, and the pump running.

Is that on the older baileys as my pump is situated outside suspended from the floor in a foam case:unsure:

Do you know its full or does it read full on the control panel

Ours is a 2019, so not that old, depedns on the model as to if pump is inside or outside. We do have a pressure switch outside in our case, with a little case around it (we have to adjust this sometimes).

It could also be the tank sensors not reading full as some models won't enable the pump if its empty but there is an override for that (check your manual) to forece pum pon.

But we do have to "prime" our water tank if we let it get too low in the summer months with the shake, it's why we only fully empty out in winter.

IS it whirring when you turn on the tap? If not, chances are it's not an airlock. It should be whirring, may be worh you turnign the pressure swtich if nothing happening when you open a tap.

(you should be able to hear the pump if it hasn't failed... but it won't be running if it doens't think you have water, you can override this detection on some baileys by holding down the pump button on the control panel(but check your manual as this isn't on all of them)).

I think they have fixed it gone
