Here are a few photo`s of the site, for those who have not been before...

1st..... Entrance to the site looking back..

2nd.... Pitches for large RV`s... 35 to 40 footers and 5th wheels.

3rd..... 28ft - 34ft.. Smaller RV`s.

4th..... Looking down the site towards the "Fleet Lagoon and Chesil Beach".... This is the terraced area I have booked for "Funsters".. with some nice views to the coast... these grass but firm plot`s have EHU... Water... and Grey waste disposal...

5th.... The brand new Shower - WC block, which is immaculate and only a short walk from all of us..

A lot of people do cycle round the area... Brian..

But in all honesty, I would not like to ride from the site towards Weymouth... It`s quite a fast road with no Footpath.. Approx mile up the hill it levels out and there are footpaths and 30 - 40 speed limits....

I shall have a small trailer with all the gear I have to bring, so you can put your bikes in the trailer and I can drop you where (I would consider) a safer part of the road..

As said people do cycle... perhaps I`m being over cautious, having not ridden a bike for 30 odd years..

There is a bus stop that stops and drops off just down the road... and you can get to the bus stop by walking through a field, so dont have to walk on the road.. :thumb:

Coming back from Weymouth side is not so bad Brian...

Short ride down a hill and there is a pub on the left, with a gate that leads across a field to the Campsite... Which is the same gate/field/path that takes you to the "Bus Stops".. without having to walk on the road..

It`s the uphill ride with "No" footpath to get off the bikes and push that would worry me...

As said I can drop you off at a safe spot a mile up the road...

But this meet - WHY - so few FUNsters ?

Well there are 25 so not that bad, you've confused the numbers with RVOC which are basically the same team.

Still, it's got all the ingredients for a cracking meet, I reckon there will be a good few saying later "Dratttttt, should have gone".

I'm sure I've said this before but we can't make it 'till late Mon or Tues due to not fitting in with 'er indoors busy schedule. I don't know how she copes with all the meetings, lunches, hotel weekends.
