Sadly we have just arrived back from Peterborough, Ace weather, Ace company as usual.

We have had such a great time, We have met friends old and new but we thought a special thankyou to Nigel & Pamela for being marshals for the weekend.

A big thankyou to Gail for organising the party for Robert, and Harley has had such a good time meeting new kids. George apologises for annoying everyone by having the generator on for most of the weekend to power his laptop game, despite the great weather.

I think Tara has not been stroked so much in 48 hours, and thanks for all the doggy advice.
Sonya, I hope your little dog gets better soon.

So see you all again and Thankyou :thumb:

Yep, same here. Rita and I had a great time also.

Our thanks goes to Nigel & Pamala too, not only for marshalling, but for the use of their Marquee, which was the "Badger's nadgers" for socialising in. :thumb::thumb::thumb:

Cheers,

Jock & Rita.

P.S. Where to next?

hi to all

Had a great time this weekend, great weather, great company, got ripped of by Mark from CLS for a service, and will again next year no doubt:Rofl1: (don't tell him - he did a great job really)
Thanks to Pam and Nigel for their part - great rally, thanks to Gail for the kids party the girls really enjoyed it. Sorry couldn't chat longer, this due to A and K popping us a visit, drinking our coffee and eating our cake, Sheila (runrig) for the entertainment, not quite got full control of the broomstick yet,:Eeek::Rofl1: or too much wine (don't drink n fly) To Paul n Nikki who ate all our oatcake's and pikeletts, no wonder he's put weight on since he stopped smoking, have to get him to stop eating next:Rofl1:maybe he's in competition with tara, won't be long before he'll need a bigger van, and to everyone else who was there.
Hoping to see some of you at Stratford

Peterborough Show

We're also back safe and sound. What a brilliant show, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was great putting faces to names. It was a shame that ScotJimLand wasn't able to get down the the Funster's area.

Thanks to Pam & Nigel for use of their marquee and sorry we didn't get up in time to help with the dismantling! The entertainment was second to none and this is a show we will definitely be attending again.

We decided in the end to buy an A frame rather than a trailer and as Car a Tow have a fitting agent in Peterborough, we went with them. We also picked up our Maxview satellite equipment and hopefully will get that fitted within the next week or so. Lots of pennies spent, but never mind, 'there a no pockets in shrouds' as my late Mum used to say.:thumb:

our first motorhomefun rally :)

Back home, very long drive all the way back to.............peterborough :Rofl1:although i must admit its just the same as visiting anywhere in the camper , just didnt have the long drive there and back.

big thankyou to everyone who we had the pleasure to meet, really friendly crowd, especially `ourcampersbeentrashed` who made our first rally easier as we`d met previously at sunny hunny :thumb:

james and pheobe really enjoyed the weekend too, they had a great time at roberts birthday party, and made friends with some of the other children on the rally, especially Harley and Katy

pity it was raining this morning just as we had to pack the awning and van up

One thing that will always stck out in my mind was on the saturday night as we left the marquee and went back to the camper van, i spotted a large orange light in the sky :Eeek: and it wasnt the smirnoffs i`d had either!!! as i called ian out of the van and he watched it with me

Ive just booked for the stratford show so looking forward to that  xjx

Thanks from us as well to everyone who made the weekend so good. Enjoyed meeting people we'd met before and people we had never met previously.

Plenty to see and we managed not to spend too much money.

Only disappointing thing was the under-provision of Elsan points so it was a bit of a trek to empty the cassette.

Graham

Prterborough...............again

Well I hope this is going to the correct "page".......... 1st time on ??????
Peterborough.............what can I say. Every year we say "Are we going? .... There is nothing we need!..... Oh alright"..... So there we were again. along with friends. We arrived on the Thursday this time, after a very pleasent Wed/night stay on a MotorCaravanClub CL 43 miles away. Nice to arrive early for a change. Was it worth going? Of course it was......... We spent more time walking the camping areas than at the "show". Naturally we came home with a few bits and pieces. And..............a good value weekend to boot. We must say thanks to all those who give their time and effort to ensure a smooth running time. So many years have seen us at the "P" show, long may it continue... Roger & Hilary Matthews

Thanxs Nigel and Pamela you are STARS:coolthumb::thanks2:

Another one here,
First timers with the funster's and Silvi and me had a great time, were made so welcome by you all,
we were given some great advice by so many of you, made some new friends and we have come away with fond memories.:thumb:

Big up topam and Nigel who organised the welcoming bit and arranged the marquee and stuff !
Was very disappointed not to make it to the marquee on Saturday night but we got sort of tangled up in a silly game that involved booze and rose tinted glasses
Looking at Stratford but suspect it clashed with something else

We would like to thank everyone for their appreciation. First time as Marshalls, not sure what we were doing, but it seems as though it worked out OK from your comments.

We would be more than happy to do it again, but not sure when that will be, due to work commitments.

Hoping you all arrived home safely, we stayed til everyone was off site to make sure all was OK.

Our thanks go to Jock and Rita for the genny and lights (and not forgetting the endless trips you made Jock with the laptop charger (big thanks for that)) and Geo and Pammy for the heaters.

We couldn't have asked for better weather.

We would like to thank you all for making our job a pleasant one.

Nigel and Pamala

Big THANKS ...

Big THANK YOU to one and all, a great time enjoyed by us both, good to meet faces both new and old.

Looking forward to the next time,

Richard and Gay

Hi Nigel and Pamala, you did a great job and the marquee you provided was much appreciated by everyone. Well done, the jobs yours next year if you want it:thumb:<input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

Peterborough Show-- Elsans lack of.

One of the posts refers to the sparcity of Elsan empty points.
Does any body else do as I do to avoid long trek with heavy cassette?-- Look in vicinity for drain cover; and identify as a bog type one.. Lift it by use of peg pullers or similiar. Often this has been done before and the screws, if any, removed. (Peterborough)
Pore contents down and wash with water from small carrier. Replace drain cover and retreat back to van.
This is done each morning well before breakfast. So the wife has a fresh loo each day thanks to SOG.

I would like to join all the other Funsters in thanking Pam and Nigel for all their work and for making me so welcome at my very first "rally meet."

Looking forward to Newbury more than usual now...

JJ
