Trying to find water drain shut off valve for the boiler/water heater. Instructions say in front of the boiler but can't find it. Help!!!! Water running out each time we turn on a tap.

The drain tap will be directly above where the water is running out on to the ground.

What year is the Hymer? The boiler drain valve should be very near the boiler, on the floor, but it doesn't look like a standard manual drain valve. Maybe it has a red button that pulls up and stays up with a click. or a blue lever. Is the water coming out under where the boiler is?

If the water is coming out when you operate the taps, I would it’s the boiler vent valve leaking , something like this if you boiler has one

1994, the water is coming out from under the boiler, there's an electrical box on the pipe but don't have a clue what it does. Can't see a manual tap or lever. Will send a photo

It's probably a frost protection valve. If the temperature drops below about 3 degrees it opens to drain the boiler and prevent frost damage. However it requires permanent 12V power (very tiny amount) so if you have disconnected the battery for any reason it will open and drain the boiler, and will need resetting.

If it's like mine there is a red button that pulls up against a spring. If there is 12V power, it clicks and stays in the up position, provided the temperature is above about 3 degrees C. If no power, it won't stay in the up position, and opens if you let go.

That is what we have got but the button being up or down doesn't seem to be stopping it draining out. The voltage must be working as it goes down when turned on.

Is the water draining all the time or just when taps are used.

A photo would help, I think. If it's like mine, the red button needs to be up to stop the water draining out. It needs a 12V supply to keep it in the up position. If the power fails, the spring sends the button down, the valve opens and the water drains out. If you temporarily hold it in the up position (with a clothes peg, jubilee clip, tape etc) does the water stop draining out?

There are other types, like the one with a blue lever which is non-electrical and doesn't need 12V power to stay on, but you said there was an 'electrical box' so I guess it'snot one of those.

Okay thanks will try and do a photo tomorrow, at a festival right now.

Just when using taps
It will most likely be the outlet elbow with the vent it then, as i posted earlier if the boiler has one which I would think it would.
This is the elbow vent valve on mine.
