Just got home with a 1999 Hymer B534 (French registered), quite pleased so far. I'm struck by the lack of electrical outlets. Apart from the cigarette lighter in the dash, I can only find a 230v socket above the kitchen sink, and a 230v and a 12v in the TV cupboard.

Looking at the brochure from the time, it says it has three 230v and two 12v outlets. Assuming the cigarette lighter isn't included in that (or is it?) any suggestions as to where I might find the other 230v and 12v outlets?

There might be a 12v socket just above the toilet next to the flush button. Silly place to put one, but both of our Hymers have had one there.

Thanks - had a look, and you were close, there's one in the cupboard above the toilet. Just the other 230v socket to find now.

Ours (B630 from 2003) so a different layout, has the following:
  • 230v
    • 1 in the garage
    • 1 above the sink (horizontal in the light assembly)
    • 1 in the tv cupboard
    • 1 low down on the base of the L-shaped settee
  • 12v DIN (often called Hella)
    • 1 in the tv cupboard
    • 1 in the shower room (next to the toilet flush button)
    • I have also added 1 at the front and 1 at the rear of the habitation area
In addition there is a US-style cigarette lighter socket on the central dash and one in an ashtray below it, but they are part of the Sprinter base.

There's a 230v on the underside of one of the shelves in the bathroom cupboard in our 2008 B524. Stupid place we've never used it.
