My friend wants to fit a 60amp B2B to his campervan.
His alternator is 90amps, non smart.
Does this sound OK.?
 
No, I wouldn't go above 25/30 amp max with that size alternator. If he wants to go higher change the alternator for a much bigger one.

Thanks Lenny that's what I suspected.
He's got a split charge at the moment, I'll have to see what that is putting out to see if a 25/30 amp B2B is worth fitting.
I know when I checked my split charge output, prior to having a 60amp B2B fitted, mine was only putting out 10-12 amps.
If his is similar then a 25/30 amp B2B would be worthwhile fitting but I suppose his split charge could be putting out more than mine was.
