Do I need none isolated or isolated b2b .

Delaware 2020

Cheers

The only scenario in which I can think you'd need an isolated B2B is if you don't have a common ground through the chassis for both battery banks.

The non-isolated chargers will have a positive input from the leisure battery, a positive input from the vehicle battery and a single negative which is common to both.

The isolated ones, however, have a positive and negative input for the leisure battery and another pair of positive and negative inputs for the vehicle battery.

For a motorhome, either will be fine. The leisure battery negative and the starter battery negative will already both be connected to the chassis, so that the alternator can charge them both. The non-isolated version is a bit cheaper if you are buying new. If you come across an isolated version, that can be used if you link the two negatives together.

Were you planning on buying a Victron Orion B2B Charger? If so Personally for a number of reasons I would go for an Orion XS version, which is only a non isolated at the moment. Speak to Offgrid Power Solutions as a funster, to get a good price......
