This is a fun forum where there is a lot of humour and at times a little sarcasm as in my previous post.. As in there are always lots of awnings for sale because mainly people who are new to motorhoming buy them and then realise that they don’t use it or need it….🤪👍🏼☀️😎

So my advice is buy wisely…😉

Many use Quest Screen House instead of an awning (aka a divorce in a bag). :ROFLMAO:
Seconded here.

The Quest Screen House comes in two sizes.
It also comes with solid walls with windows (The 'Pro' version) or just mesh walls.
Get the one with the solid walls and window.

The larger/6 sided hexagon has two doors,
so if you also get the optional Quest door awning, you can zip connect one door to your MoHo and the other door is your way out.

You can also zip Quest Screen houses to each other.

The 1 door/Square version can only be zipped to a 2 door/6 sided version

A Quest Screen House take 5 minutes to erect/de-errect on your own.
It can then be moved, single handed, to where it's needed (In the sun/shade, zip to next door etc)

A framed awning (air or poles) takes two people at least 40 minutes to put up and the same to take down.

We have two awnings. A static G3 attached to the Omnistor and a Kampa inflatable driveaway. We use both every year depending on where we are going.

Each to his/her own.

Best air awning for auto sleepers broadway ek please
Depends what you want to use it for, we use a kella 2 tall, grandkids sleep in it and for years we also took it away with us, we still have and use it Grand 'kids' now 18, 19 22 and their break with us is booked.
Afte failing toi persuade John that a quest was a good idea, I know own one 😉 he loves it, we use it as a kitchen tent, for entertaining, for chilling when it is sunny and raining. John now agrees it was a good buy,

We've got 2, a Quest screenhouse and a Quest Falcon Air. Depends on where we are going and for how long which on we take. The air awning can be pitched by one person and takes nowhere near 40 minutes.

We bought the Vango galli III very recently
2nd hand. Used it 3 times already and love it . We are a family of 3 with a 4 year old who has a lot of energy.
I can pitch it myself in 20 minutes and that's not rushing. Longer if on hard standing as the pegs are a mare!

It is rather large and heavy though, so if you have weight issues it may not be the best.

Had a Quest screenhouse for years and loved it. However when downsizing to a diddy van the shape to transport (2meters long) became an issue. I now have a Cinch hub which is fantastic - more versatile imho as all 4 sides can open as a door. Easy to throw up - literally! Also there are a selection of extensions/accessories available.

We tried an attached full awning and really they don’t ‘go’ with motorhomes.
All awnings are heavy but the air ones are the heaviest.
The most we’ve been happy with was a Porch awning (poles not air) for the winter months.
A motorhome is designed to travel and stay for a few days then travel again, so you can spend several hours putting the thing up when you should be out & about enjoying your new found freedom.
Also be aware that changes in the day/night temperatures will affect your awning, it will either sag or (and we have seen this happen) blow up one of the air ‘legs’.

We have tried many different awnings over the years none have worked for us. Now only ever use a porch awning in the uk in the early and late seasons when wet coats and dog need sorting ( that’s if we are staying for more than a couple of days.
Other than that we use the windout and if necessary a sun or rain panel.
