Awning advise. I have a Renault |Master ex patient transporter. I am looking for an awning to fit but I have a fibre glass body and plastic drip rail. I have heard that you can get an awning that fastens over the roof somehow maybe using the wheel arch on the opposite side. I am not worried about a drive away as I will be using my motorbike to commute. Cheers... Be gentle I am a total newbie

Yes look up drive away awning. They tend to be the one with straps that go over the roof.

:hiya2: :welcome4:

There are plenty of awnings that use straps over the vehicle. Google Kampa and Vango as a start.

Thanks guys will try your advise

I have a "high" awning for sale (used to use it with the hightop campervan in my avatar). It allached using a c or j rail but I also used to put guy lines across the roof (in pieces of pipe foam insulation) and peg it down on the ground.

As to being a newbie it's not so many years that I got on a campsite then had to go ask another camper how to hook up, and we got told off by a campsite for making too much noise as we tried to figure out for the first time how to put awning up!
