Avtex VIDAA smart tv and Apple Airplay

I recently upgraded my Avtex TV to one of the latest smart versions using the VIDAA operating system. My reason for upgrading is because I wanted to Airplay my Apple iPhone to the TV.
However, after spending around two or three hours frustratingly trying to get my iPhone to ‘talk’ to the Avtex VIDAA TV without success I decided to call Avtex and I spoke to Craig. Craig said that the Avtex TV’s cannot do that, this is despite TV’s running VIDAA should be able to do it, and the internet and YouTube is full of info regarding how to successfully do this.
I can do it on my home tv that is also VIDAA compliant but why not the Avtex TV’s ?
Has anybody else found this problem or more importantly has anybody else found a workaround for this ?

Just checking - both your iPhone and TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network?
Does you Avtex TV have the Apple TV app on it?
Check your TV has the latest update on it - maybe there is a later version with Apple TV support.
I suspect your Avtex TV does not support Apple Airplay so you will need an additional device plugged into the TV to achieve this.
