Avtex - 18.5” TV L187DRS use in irland

Hi does anyone have the Avtex - 18.5” TV L187DRS and have you used it in southern irland?
Last year I went to irland for 3 weeks, tv ok in Northern Ireland but when crossed the border tv would not support the frequency broadcast in the south.
Any advise please

Have you updated the firmware / software. Downloads from the Avtex website to usb stick.
