Elddis Prestige 115
We have an Elddis Prestige motorhome and just started to have an issue with setting the alarm. When we set it, we get 3 sets of 2 chirps which I'm led to believe is an issue with the habitation door sensor. I think I'm going to need to replace the sensor or check the wires but my question is, how do you remove the sensor from the door frame? I've borrowed the image from another thread, but ours is the same.

The photo you have used is my van. ;)

Okay, on my particular van (Elddis Autoquest 175), I have to remove the sliding flyscreen frame which just pulls away from the door frame, gently does it though so you don't break the clips
The wires for the contact come into our van belind the flyscreen frame and exit under the van in the corner of the step. Giving the wires a tug to give a bit of slack, I then run a blade around the silicone that is used to seal around the contact face and then screw a wood screw into the face of the contact and pull it out with a pair of pliers.
Cut the contact wire at the rear of the old contact and tape the wire of the new contact to the wires of the old contact and gently pull the wire of the new contact through by pulling on the old contact wires.
Push the new contact into place and apply a smear of silicone to stop water ingress.
The new contact will probably have 4 wires but only two are the contact reed switch, but a multimeter and a magnet will determine which are the 2 wires you require.
Pop the flyscreen back in and job done.
Bear in mine that you can not use a house type alarm contact as these will not work correctally.
Give Autowatch a ring on 01732 886 777 and order direct from them, but order a couple extra as I have have 3 fail now and carry a couple in our spares box on our van.
