Autotrail Apache 700, 2011 Leisure showing poor (4 volts) on control panel but battery is brand new and measures 12.8 volts on the battery

Has anyone had this problem? seems to me there is an electrical fault on a control box somewhere in the van but don't know where to start, please help.

How recently was the battery fitted?

On my system when new batteries are fitted the van needs to be connected to EHU for a while so that the system can charge the batteries and learn when they are charged, and reset the parameters of the batteries.

I expect that you have a Sargent control panel fitted (EC480 or EC300), if so , it may be it needs re-calibrating , the information about doing this can be found at www.sargentltd.co.uk in their support section / knowledge base (check the information regarding your year of Autotrail)
It would also be worth checking that the battery connections are ok (including the earth to the body/chassis)
