Hello Everyone,
I've bought one of these (see pic) to replace non-functioning original camera/monitor combo.
The original camera was only fixed to the MoHo via something like double-sided sticky pad/ring (it was very small/light).
The new double camera combo is a fairly weighty beast, so...what's behind the outer skin of the MoHo? Is it just a wooden board (plywood/chipboard?) that can be screwed in to to help support the weight, as I'm a bit suspect that the skin itself is up to the job, if using some self-tapping screws (there are no fixings provided)?
The blurb suggests that a generous application of Sikaflex could be used and would be sufficient to hold the bracket and camera in place (to avoid drilling extraneous holes or using self-tapping screws) - has anyone done this and, if so, did it/has it worked long-term? Or, would using screws (into whatever is behind the outer skin) and Sikaflex combo be best (I'd use it to provide a seal around original cable hole anyway)?
Thanks for any advice/comments.
Cheers,
Rich.
