Given the choice of the following which one do you think is the best buy (both are from dealers and both the same price).

Peugeot, 2020, 1,000 miles, manual, 2.2, 165 bhp, tracker, reversing camera, solar panel, 3 year Peugeot and Auto sleeper warranty

or

Fiat Ducato 2019, 2,000 miles, automatic, 2.3 150 bhp, tracker, reversing camera, solar panel, not sure on warranty

Thanks.

Manual for me but most replies I suspect will opt for the auto so which do you prefer?
Have you driven both yet?

Almost certainly the Fiat will be on the light chassis so 3850kg max possible but the Peugeot is on the heavy chassis so you could go to 4500kg.
The payload isnt great at 3500kg especially if you want to travel with full water etc.
If you stay at 3500kg this isn’t a concern except keeping at or below the weight limit could be a challenge.
The automatic is fantastic to drive and as good as any high end car automatic gearbox as it’s made by ZF. I have just reread your post and at 2019 it is still the robotised manual 150 so 6 speed.
The Fiat has a 2 year warranty but the Autosleeper conversion as the Peugeot is 3 years

Are they both Autosleepers? We know they have a good reputation, I had 2 Autosleepers and thought they were good value even though they were both old, they obviously last well.

Have a good look at the Warwick regarding the lack of opening windows. Luckily when we were looking to change from coach built motor homes we happened to look in two Auto Sleeper models at our dealers on a fairly hot day, the heat had built up terrifically and we could only find one small sliding window.
We remarked to the sales person that we could not put up with that when he then showed us two Auto Trail V Lines, the 610 and a 635 they had 5 opening habitation windows, we sat in the 610 for half an hour with two windows open and the van gradually became comfortable.
Long story, we bought the 610, a lovely van but I could not get the drivers seat back far enough for a comfortable driving position. We wished we had bought the 635 that allowed fuller rearward adjustment of the drivers seat. Our dealer offered a very good part/ex on a new order ( had to wait 6 months ) engine upgrade, media pack, etc for the new 635SE. We are more than pleased with the V Line build and what it comes with,
The 3500kgs is not a problem, we pack every locker to it’s full, 4 x folding chairs, barbie, levelling ramps, extra table leg & Fiamma base, ehh cables, full awning mat, Thule rollout wind break, sun blocker, wardrobe jammed full, 2 x tv’s, bedding/ pillows, Oyster sat dish, tow bar, enough grub to feed an army, full water tank, half full fuel tank and 2 x humans 80 & 85kgs, and when on weighbridge we topped 3460kgs
