I'm a newbie
Im a proud 1st time owner of a 2004 Autocruise Starspirit. I have lots to learn, however today I filled my van with water, primed the system only to find that my toilet sink tap isn't working I.e. no water coming out. The rest of the system is working great I.e. kitchen tap, shower and toilet flush. Can anyone advise what might be wrong and does anyone know what type of tap is on this model of Starspirit? Thanks in advance Willie

It is possible that your tap has a micro-switch fitted which should turn the water pump on when opened, you could try leaving it open and seeing if water comes out when another tap is opened (turning on the pump) These taps and others can be seen if you look at www.olearymotorhomes.co.uk which may help as to which type you have.

Don't know how your system is set up, but some taps have a small microswitch inside them that tells the pump to switch on as you open the tap, the other type of system uses a pressure switch which, when you open a tap, it detects the drop in pressure and fires up the pump.I
The microswitch's do fail over time and it can be a faff to get at them, but they are available.
As a quick check, open the tap that isn't working and then open a working one and see if any water comes out of your "broken" tap, this will help rue out a blockage or loose/burst pipe and will probably confirm it as a micro switch unit ?
Edit: GeoffnDee posted the same as I was typing (y)

Thank you guys that was very helpful, I've tried having the working tap running and the toilet tap open but still no water, I guess it might be the microchip, thanks again Willie 67

Does the tap start the pump, if the others do, you probably have broken wire to the micro switch.

If you do not have water coming out of the opened faulty tap when another ok tap is opened ( Which would switch the water pump on via its micro-switch , supplying water to both open taps) either the faulty tap is not connected to the water supply (or it is somehow blocked) or possibly your water pump is not operated by tap micro-switches but by a different system using a water pressure switch to turn the pump on when any tap is opened.
You should be able to see if there are any wires going to each of the taps (underneath) if a micro-switch system is the type you have.
