Hi all, we have a 2021 AT Imala 625 with the rear lounge configuration, but are finding that the cushions are not up to the job.
They are just about bearable as seating, but compress so much when in the bed layout that you can feel the slats and it doesn't make for a good night's sleep.
Over the summer I did some rough testing against cushions in other AT motorhomes and it's obvious that ours are much softer, but I've yet to locate another 2 year old Imala 625 to make a direct comparison. Does anyone on here have one??
I've raised it as a warranty issue with AT and the cushions are now with the manufacturer, Leisure Furnishings, who've tested them and stated that they are made to the specification at the time.
Auto Trail are saying it's an OEM warranty problem, i.e. Leisure Furnishings, who say that they're made to spec. At the moment we're off the road so looks as though I'm going to have to stump up around £800 to replace the foam, although Leisure Furnishings are saying that they will replace the foam at a discount as 'a gesture of goodwill'.
I believe that the problem falls under Consumer Rights Act 2015 section 9 & 10 in that they are unsuitable for their intended purpose, so responsibility is with AT.
So far AT won't accept its their issue.
At this point it's my intention to pay to get the foam replaced and then take AT to the small claims court to get my money back.
I'm looking for some advice from fellow Funsters.
Has anyone else experienced this and, if so, how have you resolved it?
