Autosleeper Broadway
(Cross posted on Auto-sleeper forum but I think this is a bit busier!)

Our Broadway has been in storage for a few months and visiting it today found the vehicle battery totally dead, won't charge, won't jump.

So I'm looking to just swap it out, but on inspection I see the current battery is a Yuasa YBX Active L36-100 and it has "Leisure Battery" printed all over it! I'm 99% sure this is the vehicle battery as it's in the hole in the passenger footwell (Peugeot Boxer).

My understanding is the vehicle battery and leisure battery are two different beasts - one for delivering short high bursts of power for getting the engine started and the other for long term slow powering of lights etc.

Is this the case? Has the previous owner put the wrong kind of battery in?

Thanks

Andy

If its on thd footwell in front of thecpassenger seat it's definitely where the starter battery is and it sound like its the wrong battery.
I assume you know where your leisure battery is? Best to check that in case its a starter battery. (y)

Hmm - didn't occur to me to check the leisure battery as well! Surely it can't operate properly swapped over like that can it?

If someone can put in the wrong starter ,surely the odds are that the leisure battery may be wrong also.. its worth a check.

If anyone's interested I called the dealer I bought it from and he said that it can act as either type of battery so long as the Cold Cranking Amps are high enough. Bit of an expensive way of doing things though!

My mistake, I thought the L36-100 was a EFB, but turns out it's not
