I need to remove the window, as it has dead flies between the two panes (i am hoping to tip it upside down and suck the flies out of the original hole, or maybe enlarge the hole).
I was hoping that by unattaching the arms, i could lift the window pane up and it would then come free from the horizontal bracket. But no such luck.
It does slide a few mm side to side - what stops it sliding out the side of the bracket are:
a) a small black rubber fitment, with a single screw
b) caps on the end of the bracket.
I have removed the screw but the rubber fitment doesn't want to come off.
1) is the rubber fitment glued on with sealant i.e. with a bit of violence, i can get it off without breaking it?
2) do the end caps come off - they also maybe glued on with sealant?
Or do i need to do more to get this window off?
