To clarify you can arrive after midday weds and leave by midday on monday. If my CL licence is granted by then and you wish to stay longer it will be possible. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead as adjacent fields have both sheep and cattle in.

At the risk of seeming a bit petty may I ask a couple of questions?

When you say "we will be having a funsters meet" does this mean it is organised by MotorHome Fun?

Second question... what is laid on by the organisers for the £25 and is this per van or per person?

JJ

It is a meet ONLY for funsters under the Funsters exemption certificate, the charge is per van. The £25 is a pound a night cheaper than our proposed CFL charges and FIVE pounds a night cheaper than other CL's in the area. There is fresh water, waste disposal, and rubbish disposal, a marquee, purchased at great expence to keep you all dry should it rain, plus the chance of meeting other fun loving funsters. In the event of rain a landrover will be available to help if needed. but the ground is firm and should not be required. As funsters we are used to making our own fun.
there is a pub/restaraunt within walking distance, Golf driving range 1/2 mile down the road, clay shooting if required, horse riding etc within walking distance and lots of other local attractions. Let me know your interests and I'll see what can be done.

It seems the points to note on this post, have not been noted.

General Meet Cancelled

It would appear I am expected NOT to charge for a RALLY on my property so this event is cancelled, selective invites will be made instead of open house. sorry people.

This Funsters meet will still take place. Anyone wishing to attend please respond on this thread. I will be the Marshal. Any queries or questions, just ask:BigGrin:

Seems quite reasonable for £5/night IMHO.

Just wish i could make it down there myself..

All sorted Steve, it was not so much me charging as self promoting, so keeping out of it this time.

sorry Roger im confused.

Is this a meet?

If so is it at your own place?

If so what is the charge for and where does the money go?

Basically the same questions as JJ

Or is it acceptable for me to get a field arrange a meet, get it promoted, and then pocket the money?
If that's what's happening then great, but please just clarify it.

no worries about the price though, sounds reasonable and a great location, not got our summer plans sorted so wont commit.

just this sounds a bit out the norm?

sorry Roger, missed one of your posts,

please bear us in mind but like said cant commit until other sittuations resolve

details as in original post. it is a meet. beyond that take it up with the marshal as I am not allowed to get involved.

As I understand things MotorHome Fun cannot be seen as a money making concern and indeed is not a money making concern (for various reasons re insurance etc)...

... therefore members cannot set up and promote club events on the site for the reasons of making money...OK?

But a Funster can organise and promote a rally/meet on the Fun website and take money in order to pay the cost of the campsite.

In this case the campsite owner just happens to be a Funster too...

IMO fairly straight forward... Rules Rool OK? :thumb:

JJ

PS. I might have this all wrong but it is as I see it....
