Today I met with the tourist board who are delighted to have this meet go ahead.
This meet will be held in the public car park which is situated between the park and the town which is a mere few minutes walk away. Fresh water tap will be made available. NO black waste emptying
The toilets are closed at the moment, whether they will open by our visit who knows BUT the disabled toilet is open.
Please note the following.
There will be construction work going on so expect some noise except Sat/Sun. We will have a coned off section of the car park, yet to be exactly determined by position of construction area, we may even be on grassy area far side but only if weather permits.
PS:This is an officially organised meet. They know we are coming.
A contact tel number needs to be provided incase NHS contact tracers need to contact you. I won't be held responsible for anyone contracting CV19. I'm sure you are all aware of SD , frequent hand washing etc.
The town is a mere 2 min walk over the bridge and boasts shops and several restaurants including Wetherspoons, Farmfoods, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Distillery, Aldi, charity shops and right across the road is Iceland and Lidl. The Burns club at pedestrian lights and The Angling club just over the bridge both welcome visitors for socialising. Walk the other way for 2mins and you are in the park hosting a museum...mainly motorbike stuff but other stuff too.

Please put your name down only if you are serious in attending and willing to pay a £10 REFUNDABLE deposit. This is just to secure your place and you will get it back on your arrival unless you don't turn up.( It will be spent within the group
A registered first aid volunteer would be handy too.
We often moan about a lack of motorhome stopovers. This place is welcoming us with open arms. Please show them some support and come along. REMEMBER ITS A FREE MEET!

but you know how welcoming Hawick is to motorhomes and the fact they actually want to see a meet being held I thought it only fair I try to arrange something. Hopefully others will join the list.
