Attendance limit for the Lincoln Show- Now 150

I have been informed that the attendance limit for MotorhomeFun at the Lincoln Show has been set at 100 vehicles.
The list of attendees currently stands at 78.

If you are thinking of attending this show and want to be pitched with the Funsters, please book your tickets NOW to avoid disappointment.
 
+ Teddybard (Roger & Sheila ) Booked /Paid/ Form filled etc.

This is getting silly to be quite honest. Fun needs to get Warners to dramatically increase the area they give us.

There will be a great deal of disappointed funsters yet again and not everyone has the funds to pay so far in advance.

Knowing they were unable to meet our increased demand at Malvern you would have thought they would have started already looking for more space for us for Lincoln. Then again perhaps they dont want the increase in custom?????

The limits are self imposed, nothing to do with Warners, they will give us as big an area as we ask for. But if we want more than 100 together we will be a long way from the showground.

Thanks Jim xxxxx I suppose it depends whether funsters attending are there for the show or for a leisurely weekend enjoying the company of other funsters (which is the only reason we attend the shows).

For us much as the show is something to walk around and if it wasnt for the lovely people we have met through Fun & rvoc we wouldnt bother attending the shows at all

Warners should put on shows JUST FOR US!

Think of all the specialist stands they could have...

How to get into the UK and claim benefits stand...

Egg Chasing Stand... come over, bend over and get pushed over.

Rapido Owners' stand exactly opposite the Burstner Owners' one.

Hairy Bikers stand with lots of pics of Barry Sheene and sound tracks of the IOM TT races playing non stop.

Special competitions... "A Frame" obstacle course complete with inflatable Spanish Policemen...

Loudest genny competition.

How many mini guitar like banjo thingies can you sit on in an hour.

How far under your neighbours' van can you get your grey water emptying pipe...

What Fun we could all have... (y)

well busman gave me a heads up that numbers were limited (thanks dave) and just booked and done form .it was accepted so im assuming its on time. could you add me to the list please.

As we cannot commit to booking so early it looks like we will not be meeting up with funsters at the shows anymore. :(:(:(
 
Awww Kate. I do understand cos I have been like that for the last three or four years. I have lost one heck of a lot of money through having to book a long way in advance and then couldn't go cos of home circumstances.. and financially I have struggled If you three don't go to shows then you are going to be missed by soooooooo many people :crying::crying::crying::crying:

all I can say is this is getting more like show organisers are limiting us to the amount of funsters thay want why don't wee as funsters just have are own meets and leave the shows alone as more and more funsters are getting disappointed. this could lead to more of us droping out of motorhomefun as not every funster can afford to pay in advance

Fun is becoming to some extent a victim of its own success. There have been a lot of new members and the very positive posts by people attending rallies have probably contributed to more people wanting to attend.
More rallies outside of the shows would be great, it just needs people to find a location and organise them.
I am looking around locally in the North East for a venue and will hopefully be able to organise something next year.
So go on Dave, get one organised down your neck of the woods - we'll come!

I sympathise Dave with you sentiments, but! look at the Dorset thingee, and the Gweek thingee, people said yeh we are there ! They didnt turn up!

We book for a rally ,we pay up front! Don't turn up, lose the dosh!

Funster rally! yeh yeh I'll turn up!

On the day it's a no show! (I think old mo has already posted on this) bad feeling all around!

Will you be willing to pay, beforehand? for a Funster only Rally?

I agree but booked up 8 weeks ahead ?
I never plan more than a few weeks ahead (commitments), others have family/health issues
Will probably go to Lincoln but will book a couple of weeks before - into general camping unless RVOC do what they are doing at Malvern
 
Where is the form to fill out what date/time of arrival to help rally marshals?
