Does anyone know can you change the battery in these wee toll gate tags? I've popped it open but the battery is soldered in on 2 small metal legs....
Thanks in advance 👍

I think you can just request a new one, but it does cost. Are you sure battery needs changing, ours still worked, had it a few years now.
However, just in case doesn’t work next year, I just ordered one of the Mango ones which work in Spain, Portugal and Italy as well as France.

I reckon the battery is bound to be gone by now, had it 10 years and I thought it was going a bit wonky on my last trip up through France but might be interested in that Mango one that covers different places

I think that battery will pop out, isn't it just the contacts that are soldered ?
Yea it's the 2 little metal bits are soldered onto each side of the battery

No, tried again there still won't acknowledge my Eire bank or my UK bank, keeps saying put bank details in which I'm doing in sort code & account number format and IBAN and its not recognising any of them, maybe the offers over... who knows but I definitely can't sign up to it 🤔

Can you try it from a Revolut or Starling account ? seems to accept the IBAN number with those banks

The emovi tags batteries are good for about 5 yrs. You can check the battery on the billing page of your account. I suspect the battery status is communicated whenever the tag is read at a toll booth.

The batteries are non user replaceable, but when you order a new tag, you pay a deposit and they register the new tag on your account, and when you return the old one to get a deposit credit

I got ATMB to send me a new tag this year as my previous one was 4 years old and not used for 2 due to Covid. All I had to pay was postage, about 4 euro so cheaper than a pair of decent batteries.
