My wife has asthma and she is sensitive to certain perfumes etc which start her coughing. At home, even fairy washing up liquid sets her off so we use Ecover.

We’ve tried all sorts of loo chemicals and washing/dishwashing tablets/sachets in our loo but none work so far, even the green the green Elsan Organic stuff sets her off.

Suggestions most welcome 👍

We use the aldi or liddll bio sachets. They don't seem to have much smell.to me anyway. (y)
And second the" sog". We have a sig and it rarely smells ( saves on the bio capsules)

Brian, I have some top and bottom green mild cleaner we use now for the past two years, bought a 5 gallon container, you more than welcome to try some. It has a very neutral smell not strong at all.

Got a name or link please Raul. 🙏

Meanwhile I’ve just started researching SOGs 👍

When I was a newbie I read all about blue, green, bio liquids and tabs etc. The thought of wafting my scent at others didn't really appeal and I wasn't that keen on drilling large holes to accommodate the pipework so SOG was rejected. So for about 15y we've just gone "au naturel" and have not really had any difficulties, even in the heat of southern Spain. We empty whenever we can and very very occasionally add a capful of bio to mask a bad smell but on the whole it's not a problem (at least not to our not-too-sensitive noses ;) )

Aldi bio washing powder for us, two scoops does the trick.

Don’t use anything, will a smell of 💩 make her asthma bad…?

Lesser of two evils….

This is the stuff, before you buy any, I can give you some to try. Still got about 10L in the container.

Lidl. 'Formil' bio washing liquid, certainly works well in the casette, it does smell but my memory says that it's not too much a powerful aroma. Also comes in useful if you need to do some emergency laundry.

Also a reasonable size bottle £2.89 a litre bottle.

Hiya Oldrat. The answer's simple. Open the loo window and you do the washing up. (y)

I've never tried it, but some people swear by Brewer's Yeast tablets.
