Can anyone tell me is it worth getting an Asci card going to be travelling through France and Spain early September ?

All depend. It’s not for us as don’t often use campsites. Also find that ACSI aren’t at all sites, and those that are often don’t give the choice of pitch when using discount scheme

Really depends on the type of sites you stay on. In France there used to be good municipal sites but some of these are now being run by Camping Car. If you stay by the coast then you will get a good discount.

We have been travelling in Germany and Italy at the moment and ACSI has saved us as lot of cash. Italian sites are typically 30 euro plus and in high season very expensive.

Sites are not for everyone and we like to base ourselves and cycle in that area then move on. We have used ACSI for the last 5 years and consider it money well spent. No use in high season though!

I have saved a fortune this trip with ACSI Card. Saved 75 euros at the campsite at Alp Dhuez and about the same at Camping Neptune Agde. Also stayed 7 nights for the price of 6. Some of the municipal and paid Aires are not a lot less at this time of year. It also depends on location for us. This campsite is 16 euros for a 4/5 star campsite fully disabled friendly even down to steps going into the pool. Large pitches. Bar, laundry dog showers and in a prime location. It's a no brainer for us.

We returned yesterday and used ACSI every day and saved us a fortune, also not been given a plot, just choose ourselves...... wouldn't be without it....... however, we don't go away in School holidays ( peak period ) !!!!!

We’ve used our ACSI card loads in France - we’ve loved the quality of the campsites, which often have a pool, for a very reasonable price of 16-18 euros a night. Definitely been work it for us.

There is an ACSI app as well great out of *the season*

Its a cheap option which can provide alternative overnighting, you don't have to "stay and save" on many campsites to get your money back....

Simple answer based on pre-covid experience.

YES if you stay on campsites, Aires can be slightly lower or similarly priced to campsites at times but not as secure
NO if you park in laybys.

Go with what feels right and comfortable, no point in a cheap nights camp if your restless waiting to be robbed.##

Just saying a night sleep is worth it's weight
