At the NEC in February, we (Van Bitz) were opposite AS Bikes in the accessory hall. AS Bikes were launching their new folding trike, and were taking orders for them as they were selling eBikes and the new trike all week. We watched time after time the new folding electric trike being demonstrated and thought that it would be ideal for Mum (my Mother in Law)

We phoned her and suggested that we would be able to do a lot more with her if she could get about a bit and as she refuses to consider a chair, as she is 83 walking without the need to sit down every few hundred yards is impossibly slow for everyone else. As Lyn and I are both electric bike converts we thought that this would be the answer, so she ordered one.

It arrived last week, we unpacked it, set it up, she sat on it and she said "I don't like it" and that was that.

So does anyone want to buy a brand new discounted electric trike? We bought front and rear lights for her and a ABUS Gold Standard lock and cable for it.

The list price is £2035 and the lights and the ABUS lock about £80 so would like to think that offers in the region of £1800 ono would be reasonable.

We have spoken to AS Bikes who are happy to honour the full original manufacturers warranty and they have only been available for the last two or three weeks

It is a brilliant piece of kit, so if anyone is thinking that a Trike is a better option for them than a bike it is a brilliantly safe way to get out and about.

When not on the "road" the Trike has the ability, at the press of a button, convert to a "twist and go" so for less able bodied people, popping on the Trike and popping up to get the bread and papers on a campsite is effortless.

@BwB Bryan any good for Pat, she will be able to keep up with you on your bike. Bob.

Thanks for the prompt, Bob. We've had a chat about it and Pat isn't sure. She thinks she will wait until her hip has been done before making any decisions about what to do next I'm going to ask about an upgrade to an electric hip for her. I figure if they can do a 36v one it'll match my bike and she'll be able to keep up anyway? Is that how it works?:D

Good deal on this bike for someone though. Good luck with the sale EVBz (y)

Good luck with the sale @eddievanbitz, This will be a great deal for someone. I’ve had my trike for a couple of weeks and I love it.
