Hi does anyone know if the field parking behind the car park by the castle is still in operation, I recall that we had to phone someone who opened the gate at the back of the car park.

Gate normally open in summer you have to phone the man and he comes to you to give you an overnight ticket. High tides & bad weather they close it as it's prone to flooding.
Or you can just park in Mill Road for free, we don't normally park in roads but don't mind it there.

Many thanks, we usually park in Mill road as well but haven’t been for a while so wasn’t sure of the current situation.

Still open, you can get the ticket from the machine or pay online, overnight ticket should be purchased at 6pm that will take you through to 9am £10

 

[Bognor Saint]

Not quite what you asked but we took one of the grandchildren to the wetlands centre last week. The road leading past the castle was very busy with parked vehicles. Quite a few motorhomes and caravans parked up and looked like they had been there for some time. There was also the remains of a burnt out motorhome.
