I am due to go on our first trip out with our Autosleeper Sussex duo and I have a question about the legs (2) on each side sofa.

When using just for sitting on, do the legs need to be in contact with the floor, or is this just when the sofas are pulled together to make a double bed?

Sorry for what seems a stupid question, I just don't want to leave them hanging off the floor only to end up damaging the framework.

They should touch the floor to take some weight off the lower seat frame. They are adjustable to allow for having a carpet fitted

As you pull the frame out it will drop a little to take the weight. You don’t need to adjust anything 😉
If you think about it when the frame is slid together it’s like one frame -pull it out ie move front from back and front half moves forward to the pivot point and allows movement 👍😉

Thank you for your help 👍
Mine are held in place by a spring bracket that keeps them up when the sofa is fully in, but then pop down when pulled out for the bed.

Looks neater when they’re tucked away.

Another use for the legs is to chain the drivers seat to them in the reverse direction, i.e. facing the habitation area, when the MH is left.
Not many thieves want to spend time trying to unlock and turn the drivers seat round when they are nicking your MH.
