Sorry it is a link and not cut and paste.

I am looking to buy two solar panels to give me 300 watts, would these be ok or should i be looking at branded ones for more dollars?
if so what would be the difference / benefits?

Also which size Victron controller would be best?

I have 210 amps of lead acid batteries, what else do I need?

Thanks in anticipation
Cheers
Colin

Too much snide gear on ebay, use a decent business like the one below , they gave me good customer support when I needed it

Most things I buy off ebay tend to go in the bin days or weeks later and I end up buying from a reputable company in the end ! I must be a bit of a Homer Simpson
Plug in phone charger, bin straight away,
Bluetooth earphones, 1 week
Propagator, almost set fire to the house. 1 week.
Solar battery maintainer, about 2 months.
Solar lights 2-3 months.
Made in China 🤔

Probably fine. They are not extremely cheap at ÂŁ80 for 100w panel. They have a 10 year warranty.
Avoid flexible panels as they are prone to early failure whoever makes them. Hence only one year warranty here.

I bought one of their 50W panels a couple of weeks ago. It is performing very well and appears to be well made. I actually purchased direct from them, can't remember why now. Very good service.

Since 2008 & many years tugging
99 quid for 150 watt is very cheap.
States lightweight construction = flimsy.

I've found cheap panels give around 5% less output and the frames are lighter weight construction.

They will probably do the job OK but with panels so cheap now I would probably spend a bit more from a known supplier.

I saw them too but went for Victron mono panels plus a Victron controller.
Controller already fitted to old panel, waiting on the new panels.

Thanks for all the replies, some good info.
Amazon prime days coming shortly, I will see if any of the branded panels are offered at a good price.

Cheers

Sorry to hear that but just for balance, I'd like to mention I've had the opposite experience.
Over the years I've made over 150 ebay purchases at prices ranging from under ÂŁ1 to over ÂŁ1000 and never wished I hadn't so always go there in preference to the south American river because it's easier to make comparisons and see what other customers have paid & have thought of the service.

I would not state the OP is trying to scrimp just asking a valid question,
In addition when people are asking for help or advice some negative comments as such could put people off posting questions. There is no such thing as a silly or negative question (shame same cannot be said for some reply’ s) I have been motor homing for over 40 years and still learning. Ask away

I've bought over 2000 items off ebay , can't say I've had problems with more than a handful of items.
