I am still awaiting my fate ref C1E licence application and am now considering what to do if I am refused. I am obviously considering mohos under 3500kg. One that suits us is under the 3500 and has our preferred layout.
Anyone own one and willing to share their thoughts on quality or performance please?

When you say “good vans” in what context please? Good quality, good build, good finish , good (reliable)?

7m vans have to be run very light with low spec to remain under 3.5t.

Can't comment on a Trend but bought a brand new Globus in 2017 and it was so badly designed and built that we traded it in after 9 months at a loss, just could not face going away in it, the final straw was when the whole kitchen splash back fell off when driving in France.

Besides the crap taps whats your overall impression. What about payload?
The overall quality is so much better than our last Motorhome which was a Chausson. TBH the tap
Issue was probably my own fault as I forgot to drain the water and leave open just as we had that spell of seriously cold weather when temp dropped to minus 15 in Scotland. So I had to replace 2 of them.
It’s a 7057 dbl we have and it’s lovely inside.
The only issue we are having is with Fiat and the cross wind assist. I don’t like it and i don’t think it’s suitable for a 7.4m Motorhome with lightweight chassis. There’s a whole thread on this if you look at my posts from March.
As for the payload I’m past caring about that. I don’t worry about it too much.

What actual payload do you think there is on your 7057 and is it the T or I please?

Hi Gerry

It's a lowdhams Eurostyle I have that comes with a whole load of extras. Can't remember of hand what the payload Is, but I think it was around 400kg.

We opted out of the drop-down bed and we took the bike carrier that comes as part of the extras of the back as we don't have bikes.
We travel a lot lighter than we used to because a lot of stuff we used to carry we didn't need.

We have a Trend 7051db. We bought it new in 2018. During ownership we have had to fit a new water pump (warranty) and we have had 2 new garage doors fitted under warranty.
We have had the vans habitation serviced by the Dethleffs approved dealers. We have covered over 33,000 miles in the van and we love it. We have just had an issue with the engine but that is a Fiat issue not a Dethleffs issue. Are you looking at buying a new or a used one.? If it’s a used one you must check the habitation checks have been done correctly, by the Dethleffs network and on time.
Good luck.

On paper maybe but have you weighed it?
The OP has always had German van so he should know this.

The payload is always qouted on the basic van and they won't even sell them to you like that.
IMO with a German van you need at least 700kg of payload, if you are careful you can just get away with 600kg.

The van we have on order has a bit over 600kg at 3.5t so we have ordered it on the Maxi chassis giving us a sensible payload 1350kg.
Our current van has 1300kg and we only have around 200kg spare.

Lenny, do you take your euros in coinage to have that payload?
My saga is still ongoing and its driving me mad. I just want a decision one way or the other so I can have a van that I can drive and enjoy!

We have a Trend 6557 bought new in 2019.
New water pump - warranty
Kitchen Sink waste trap- warranty.
At last check in may, at supplying dealer some damp was found in a garage door. Referred to Dethleffs as all checks have been completed yearly.

We remain happy and positive about the brand.

We have dbm7075 with 3850kg. Apart from abs module fault (flat battery) nothing has gone wrong. Thoroughly recommend.
