I towed a caravan in France years ago with a heavy E class estate and big caravan. I always pressed the assistance button when the price seemed high because I was put into truck category, usually they put the price down. I guessed I was being weighed or was too long.

Now we have a camper van (VW Grand California) which has a max weight of 3.88kgs but when weighed loaded is 3.450kgs.

Should I be class 2??

What height is it? Between 2 and 3m then yes class 2 if weighing no.more than 3.5

Ive gone through at 3.8 and been class 2, in an a class.

Yes, under 3mts, thanks. Is there an official French site to plan routes for tolls like Google?

If you are over 3500 does the angles mort stickers not give the game away? And once they go over to ANPR will the fact you have sent them a copy of your V5 for the Crit air showing the weights not give the game away?
