Afternoon funsters. I've had two circuit boards with Apuljack since the New Year, and cannot get any information about progress. I understand they have a good reputation, but my vans been off the road for 3 months now and only waiting for the circuit board to be fixed to operate the habitation step. Does anyone know how to get information out of them please? My dealer is the customer, so they won't even talk to me, (Data Protection), but he appears to be completely in the dark also. Is this normal service?
Thanks,
Rob

Yes, they have a good reputation..

I bought a new control panel for my Timberland from them. When fitting I had a problem getting the water pump to run, , so called and got the information I needed, they were more than happy to help.

I can only assume they are waiting for parts for your repair.. but strange they won't advise your dealer what the delay is .. or even talk to you ..

I contacted Apuljack in December to discuss a damaged 12v Distribution Unit and ask for their advice. I was put though to a guy who could not have been more helpful or knowledgeable about my unit and my Hab control panel. After discussion, he said they could repair my unit, but recommended that I buy the replacement unit from the manufacturer as the price quoted to me was only a little more than the Apuljack likely cost. He could have had my business, and was happy to do the job if I wanted - but he gave me an honest bit of advice. I followed his advice.

I had no problem in getting through to them in the first place, and was transferred immediately to the above individual.

Many thanks.

I had great service from them. Tested board and quickly reported it was OK. But my electrics still wouldn't work. Rung them up and an extremely helpful and patient guy took me through all the other possibilities. Eventually diagnosed a damaged data lead caused by mouse. Spot on,totally correct.

They are honest and trustworthy if my experience is anything to go by. It is very uncharacteristic of them to be unwilling to give an update, so must feel themselves bound (an erroneous assumption) by Data Protrction laws. Unfortunately incorrect use of the DP act has led to urban myths about what can, and cannot be shared and this culture is self-perpetuating.

If you were present at your dealership and initiated a call to them he would be able to sanction a conversation.

Or make him call them in your presence!

Positive experience with Apuljack, I dealt direct - took a while but, in their defence, it was a bespoke repair
Yes I would go back to them

They (Paul and Jack from memory) came to see us at a motorhome show before they’d even started to discuss the market, really nice guys. We (Van Bitz) recommended from day one and never had any negative feedback

On a different tack, we had dealer once who had us do work for them, once completed it sat in our yard awaiting payment and collection, despite a previously agreed collection date. We then got negative feedback saying that we’d take far too long to undertake the installation and had caused stress to the “customer“ and a cancelled trip!

So two arseholes in one go, the dealer who either couldn’t afford to pay us, or couldn’t be arsed to collect it, and their customer! I added their customer because the review read as if the arrangement was made directly between us and them, and led people to believe it was our incompetence that forced them to cancel a trip and caused stress!

Thanks Eddie.

Sent an email with photos of my fridge control pcb highlighting what looks like damage to the processor on Monday. No acknowledgement or reply so sent a message through their contact us facility on their website on Wednesday no reply tried phoning this afternoon (Friday) but couldn’t get through. Not very impressive service so far.
