Anyone Want A Cheap Data SIM?

What’s the terms on this please? Can one use the phone element through Europe for nine months in twelve? Got any T&C’s I can review?

The Lebara MSE deals are always worthwhile grabbing when they appear, and can usually be activated up to 30 days after delivery. We rotate their use in a phone - port the number out temporarily and then back to Lebara for another 7-9 months or whatever the deal is - or use in the moho router as is.

Ah great, an experienced Lebara customer! Can you point me to their fair usage policy WRT using as a phone (not the data element) when abroad please?

Fair usage policy for roaming in the EU

The Roam-like home scheme is designed for customers who primarily live in the UK and make short trips to other European destinations. To safeguard against abuse, if your roaming usage is greater than your usage in the UK over any continuous 120-day period, you will be subject to a surcharge of 0.20p/MB (equivalent to £2/GB) for data, 0.04p/sec (equivalent to 2.4p/min) for outgoing calls, 0.01p/sec (equivalent to 0.6p/min) for incoming calls and 0.8p for sending an SMS. The surcharge is deducted from your pay-as-you-go (PAYG) allowance. You will need to top-up if you don't have any pay-as-you-go (PAYG) credit on your account. Similarly, all our plans and unlimited allowances are subject to fair usage policy

Thanks. Just snaffled one as a MIFI backup for roaming, bearing in mind their DATA T&Cs stipulate:

"To safeguard against abuse, if your EU roaming usage is greater than your usage in the UK over any continuous 120-day period, you will be subject to a surcharge of 0.20p/MB (equivalent to £2/GB) for data."

I couldn't see anything specific about Calls/SMS restrictions (but TheBows has found it!)

We have two of these sims, every time we go to the EU after about 8/10 weeks we get a text saying our use in the EU is greater than when in the UK and they will start charging after the next 15 days, which is just about the time we return home. We just download a couple of films using the sim data nit heard again since,

As per TheBows for chapter and verse but we’re not away long enough to to test it out fully. Hopefully it’s always as flexible as posted by Bessy765 though.

The Lebara app is one of the best to use though. When we do the switcheroo it’s simple to cancel the recurring payment, log out and log back in with a different email address that was used to purchase the new deal and activate the SiM.
