We are looking to take indoor storage with them, but it seems quite expensive at over £1.1k a year.

They also insist we have a chassis/engine service with them on top at £250 (probably +vat). They can't do warranty work on our van.

As available indoor storage space around here is almost non-existant (we want to be reasonable distance from Bath as well), we are seriously considering it.

We'd appreciate any views/comments regarding the quality of the service they provide, and whether that price is to be expected given the availability issues that seem to be here.

Edit - one potential problem, they are not Cassoa registered. Should that be a problem at this price (or just generally)?

Despite the glossy web pages, when I asked about MoT for my Weinsberg I was told oh we don't cater for them. No amount of reasoning that it was a Renault base vehicle would sway them. That was my only contact shame as they are walking distance from me.

I know it's probably a bit too far but;
Apple Campers
29, Foxmoor Business Park,
Wellington TA21 9RF

have indoor storage and they are recommended for any work you may require.

You might need to check with your insurers.
I think mine stipulate that storage must be Cassoa registered.

Shame but yes, nearly an hour & a half away from us. Thanks for the recommendation, though. If we can't find anywhere closer we may have to branch out...

I appreciate your response.

At the same time, for anyone coming down to the 'Pointy End' of the country, they are well
recommended and are within a stones throw of J26 of the M5.

They've got a well stocked shop just in case there's something you haven't packed.

I have used the outside storage at Bristol Caravans for the last 11 years but have not renewed because of the increased costs and the fact that they want to add servicing (Habitation & Chassis) as part of the contract at additional cost, which was not part my original contract.
In respect of internal storage when I enquired there was an additional charge for each van movement which made it even more expensive.
The fact that they are not CASSOA registered was not a problem for Comfort insurance. The only thing they would not cover is personal items left in the van.

additional charge for each van movement
Thanks. It's not feeling good, I must say. Hard to know when it's my first time, but I'm looking at a bill of £1,700+ for a year. I want to protect my new baby, but my car lives outside quite happily....

Could I also ask where you moved to?

I've declined the space. There's a nice open air one a bit closer to us, less than a third of the price and no service requirements. Gives me more time to search.

I'm sure that other one is all fine, but I don't think it's for me at this time.
