Just visited the Falkirk Wheel. Its only £10 per night though 3 nights max in one stay. Water tap, toilets and showers included plus 10% discount on boat trip.

I've emailed asking if we can have a discount for 20 + Mhs but even £10 aint too bad.

Anyone interested?

Yes please, depending on dates(y)

Date dependent, that certainly has legs...when exactly (y)

I spoke to the staff at TFW this morning. I am just waiting on them confirming by email and whether we can have a wee discount. As it stands its £10 per MH per night. Max 20 motorhomes allowed . In order that the dates don't clash with any of the big rallies I would suggest dates of either Fri-Mon July 3rd-6th or Fri-Mon 31st July -3rd Aug. Bearing in mind the Scottish weather I think the beginning of July. What do you think?

I've promised my grandchildren I'll take them water walking at the wheel this year so dependent on dates could join you. Also nice walks around - we walked to the Antonine Wall - wee bit hilly and also nice cycle along the canal towards Kilsyth.

Would have loved to have joined you Sandra but unfortunately can't make the dates. Hopefully another year.

We're away in France till late June so end of July/August would be better for us, not sure we could make the early July date.

Would love to do this, but in Spain to end of July so August for us if on we will come !!

Lol ......we'd prefer early July dates.....3rd is Les's 60th :p we will only just be back from Norden Farm meet.
The Bristol meet starts 6th Aug.....
We'll try and fit in as we want to visit the wheel any way :D

Just trying to get feedback on preferred dates from people first. Either dates suit me. I'm used to the Scottish weather :)
Would be easier if we could run a poll for dates but im just a novice and don't know how to do it.
Anyone else can?

Either dates work for me, but August 3rd is a public holiday, so the place could be busy.
Don't think that would matter. We would be making our ways home that day.

we can do the early one but not the later, we would be a late arrival on the Friday though, can you stay up for us? :D Oh and I don't want to arrive to a load of rowdy singing, can you all wait till we get there to start drinking :D

are generators allowed

Would definitely attend if late July

ive created another thread for people interested in attending to cast a vote for their preferred date...
didn't know whether it was possible to add it to this thread ...hope that's ok Sandra.. and sorry if its not but a bit late im afraid..

Sorry fellow funsters. . As you know Im new to trying to set something up so very inexperienced. Just would be nice to see something happen in Scotland.
I am quickly learning the dates aren't going to please everyone so I am going to let TWF decide today whats best for them.
Hopefully at least some of you will come :-)
