More to the point, has anyone taken a large motorhome there?

Reviews on Trip Advisor are mixed. We've asked for a hard standing but some people have said that despite prebooking you don't always get what you ask for. Then again, some others say it's great. Good ol' review sites :)

I know people who go there with converted horse boxes so access won’t be a problem. I haven’t been yet but it a great stop by all accounts 👍

if you look on Google maps sat view its not a mud hole. If weather isnt rained out will be fine. Lots to white hourses and stunning walks in the area. Enjoy your visit.

Yeah, I've done that. Just curious to know from anyone who's actually stayed there.

We stayed there a few years ago ( 2013) when it was known for alien beer and crop circles, and one of our group had an american RV. Since then I believe it has had several changes of ownership, so cannot say what it is like now

l stayed there pre-pandemic. Only grass pitches IIRC (best to check by phone) and basic facilities but adequate. Quiet and pretty spot alongside the canal. Quirky but interesting pub and clientele.
Don't be put off by the approach through a timber/builders yard.
As said, it has had numerous short term landlords and was at one time run by the local community.
No doubt you've browsed their website.

There's also the Bruce Arms not far away with a field behind the pub although not beside a canal and I've not overnighted there.

A few reviews here, the latest one could raise a few alarm bells. We have stayed at The Woodbridge Inn. It was ok, food in the pub was not great, but it was just after Covid and things probably were not up to usual.

When I lived in Wiltshire it was rumoured to be the place where they organised the crop circles.

We regularly stay there.( The Woodbridge) The previous landlady had left at the time of your stay and the new one had never run a pub before. They have subsequently left and new landlady is there now. its more like a village pub now , warm and friendly but if you donrt like dogs dont go. They have several dogs which are allowed to mix with the customers in the bar area. Food was good when we went, over the years we have been , we have never had a bad meal
