when I click the link it takes me to a video advertisement for a router that connects to a satellite for up to 500mps internet, it’s about £40 for a one off payment.

From China as is everything these days but just wondered if anyone had seen it or had one

Faster than Starlink, but without the thousands of low flying satellites or the expensive waveguide antennas? Right now, it's not possible.

No monthly fee... screams scam. They know they're never going to get money out of you more than once.

If they were being slightly less scammy, it could be a WiFi router with a 4G modem with a pre-paid SIM card that works for a month...

Mine worked so fast it melted the router when I complained the call centre put me through to a Mandarin speaking Indian guy in Lahorei, lovely fellow but I couldn’t really understand what he was saying so I gave him my address so he could put it in writing, something along the lines of “we’re terribly sorry, we’ll send you a new one AND a full refund, lovely, I’ll let you know when I get it!
