LH indicator doesn't self cancel, after a LH turn etc. 2016 Ducato...
It feels like it should be something where a bit of plastic needs building up or reinforcing... Anyone done it or will it be a wild goose chase?

TIA, Harry

I would assume that the mechanism to do this will be under the steering wheel, which will involve playing with the airbag system if you have those systems fitted.

Check if your steering wheel is in the straight ahead position when the vehicle is going in a straight line. If not it may not make the pawl and will need recentering.
But this only applies to small steering angles.
If it happens on larger corners then yes there is a problem with the mechanism.

Yes, I'm taking it for granted I need to disconnect the battery, and remove the airbag and steering wheel. But I assume anyone would have to do that to fit a new one.

The wheel is on straight, and it's never auto cancelled in the 18months I've had it. The stalk starts to move, but jumps back rather than forward. Thus the idea something is worn or bent.

The cancelling mechanism is part of the stalk switch which interacts with a peg or similar on the underside of the steering wheel.

I’m not 100% but you might/ usually can remove the stalk switch without removing the steering wheel.

I’d remove the column covers and have a look if I were you.

I published a thread on how to remove and fix a light problem but mine didn’t have an airbag system
