Thinking about popping over to Ibiza for a week some time around the start of December.

Anyone with personal experience of taking a campervan over? I can't seem to find either personal experience or detailed coverage of the Ibiza-specific rules.

There's plenty of videos, generally in Spanish of people doing exactly that.

There are poorly written articles like this which repeat truisms about campervanning in Spain in general (don't put out your furniture, yada, yada, yada) but no actual Ibiza content.

And I've personally taken a campervan to Mallorca 4 years ago before we realised it wasn't exactly campervan friendly and we had a cracking time. We have a 6m vanbuilt that's pretty so some flexibility there.

Any personal experience?

It would appear not, sorry I can’t help

since Ibiza is a Spanish island fair to assume the rules are the same.. yes ?

It’s very expensive to get over to the island .

We have a house in javea just over from Denia where one of the ferries go from.

I’ve often fancied a few days on the island as a weekend/midweek, until I saw the prices.

That and you can fly from Alicante an hour away from €9. Though it averages €25 for cheap flights .

But please let us know how you get on. ?

Sorry not sure of actually rules but a quick look at park4night shows lots of parkups and several campsites. If you have a van conversion as opposed to a motorhome you probably have a lot more choice.

Re my post 6 above.

I just did a quick check on price. I could not price a camper as there is a glitch on the system re frieght, so camper is a guess.

Denia-Ibiza 2nd December return 1 week later on the 9th.

Camper, 2 passengers, no roof load or trailer €500 return
Motorhome, under 7.5m, no roof or rear loads. €750 return

Flight from Alicante €80 pp

But of you twee the dates, €25pp - Then add car hire and accommodation

Myself and 7.5m van to mallorca from valencia €130 no cabin a week ago. Return to Barcelona ( daytime) this week €72 - and they weren't the cheapest!
