Hi,

I'm looking at uprating the rear axle weight of my Fiat Ducato based MH, with splendid advice from Van Weight Engineering. My standard Fiat steel 15" wheels are the limiting factor at 1000kg each. I don't want the expense of changing the fronts too, so I just want to find some higher rated 15" steel wheels for the back. The trouble is that very few online wheel vendors seem to quote the load rating, so it's hard to find them. Does anyone know of any Ducato-compatible 15"x6" steel wheels with a load rating of 1120kg or thereabouts please?

Thanks Folks
Phil

Is it sensible to have rims that are not obviously non-interchangeable? When you need to get new rubber at the front, Kwik Fit are going to follow their policy and switch the front and rears for you. If you carry a spare, that'll need to be higher rated too. Might be better to switch them all regardless?

Thanks for the reply Guigsy.

I'm planning to indelibly mark them Front & Rear and never to go to Kwik Fit.

Regarding the spare, I'll ditch my water if I need to use it on the back. Then I should be within its limit. Obviously I'll get the original fixed pronto and be back to full capacity. A bit like the way you use a space-saver on a car.
