Anyone had a good insurance quote for this year cheapest quote I have got o far is £674.19

I doubt that the premiums of others will be much of a guide as premiums vary according to vehicle value, postcode, previous claims etc.
You'll need to phone around. Online quotes aren't the best way to search.
Comfort, NFU and several others are popular.
Have a search in the dedicated 'Motorhome Insurance' forum on here.

What we all pay will differ so not a one size fits all. It will depend on the van, value, where you live, where its kept etc.

Quite right, we are with NFU never the cheapest but no hassles, but it's pointless trying to phone them or anything online, you have to go into a local office and discuss what you actually need, ours is currently with them £270.

As above it all depends on your circumstances.
My renewal for instance is due at the end of this month, £260.

My recent experience of obtaining insurance quotations is HERE.

As others have said, you need to ring around and not do it online.

Last April our Comfort insurance was £270, I'm not sure about next April.

After weeks of looking on search engines etc I went direct to LV. They were £190 cheaper than any other quote for the same cover and excess. I was so surprised I telephoned them just to make sure I had not missed anything off.

How on earth are we meant to make a useful contribution to this thread without any details of what is being insured (value, make, age etc), where it is normally kept and any possible add-ons such as limited no claims bonus (claims in the last 5 yrs), points on licence etc?

For what its worth, our Ace Siena with breakdown cover (UK and Europe) cost £446 this year with an incident two years ago where I stuck the pedal of a bike on our rack through the rear screen of a car parked behind us.

I've just been quoted £307 by Comfort underwritten by Aviva, who are currently charging me over the top for my car insurance. I was on the phone today with local brokers for NFU for a quote on my car insurance. They were a hundred over the top for my car insurance but did say they were currently competitive for motorhome insurance. I will get a quote from them when I'm up for renewal next October. NFU are highly rated, but I'll be surprised if I get a cheap quote. I think it's a matter of luck and perseverance to catch the right insurance company when they are looking for new business.

Do you really think I would put private information on a public forum

We always get the same answers to this sort of query. e.g. It's a silly question as everybody's circumstances differ. This of course is true but it can't harm to just say what each is paying and it gives people an idea whether they need to question their current policy or why they may pay more than others. Without this we're all in the dark and this forum is to help others out as much as possible.
