Brilliant van, massive garage. Old school built, ie proper built.

Ours is a 2.8 l I don't think it's a fiat engine .

Driving on the continent a dream, but be aware carthago spares are expensive and delivery via dealer from Germany is slow.
Check the payload, ours has been plated up to 4200, otherwise a small payload.
The leisure batteries are in an awkward position behind a panel in the garage.

Any more questions pm me..

L =7.6m
H -2.98m
W-2.30m

Just checked ours is the 3 litre.

160hp 3.0 litre circa 2007- 2012 is a chain, yes - it's an IVECO unit if that makes any difference.

MPG, taking it very easy max 25mpg

FYI..
We have added semi air suspension at the rear, upgraded front springs, full E&P levelling system.
Replaced the lead acid with 2 x 100 amp lithium, plus an inverter, two solar panels and a Vanbitz alarm.
We have two mppt controllers, one for each panel, a contingency measure.
Added a firestick to the on-board tv( never used it).
A reversing camera and changed the radio .

The garage has carpet on the walls so I have attached stuff to it using velcro, works well.

We have a Cathargo Compactline which being 2.12 wide is much closer to the width of a PVC and the reason we bough it rather than a standard width A class. Having had 3 PVCs we didn't want to go fatter than we really had to as it restricted where we could go. Just something for you to consider.

I thought they started at 4250, can you actually run it legally at 4200 kg?
Just googled and found one at 3700kg so suspect they were available (albeit not practical) at 3500kg but running at 4250 should certainly be legally possible.

Had a look at the compact line but it’s way above my budget I’m afraid.

Shame as they're great, however it also to make you think about whether the width will cause you an issue. After having the PVC we were adamant that we did not want anything much wider.

So went to look at the Carthago chic in Bradford, despite me telling the “dealer” I was driving down from Scotland ( 5hours each way) it had a flat tyre and was crammed in to a warehouse with many other vehicles. As soon as I entered the van I smelled something odd and eventually found the cause in the bathroom. Water ingress and mould round the bathroom skylight and inside the top cupboards so that was a big no no from me. This van has stood around for a while and if you check the mot history has never made its mot on time and has had “fuel tank leaking” a couple of times and “eml light on” a couple of times too!
It was in a neglected and worn state inside and not worth loooking at to be honest.
The site is Euroway leisure in Bradford.
ps my partner wondered if it was inside because it was leaking!!!!!
Buyer beware 😐
