Just wondering if anyone heading for the NEC this year. We're there arriving Tuesday 13th & Wed 14th. would be good to meet up with a few Funsters

Snap. I Broken Link Removed on Sunday. Still not sure yet but it is likely to be 2 days out of Thursday/Friday/Saturday if we do get there.

We're at York that week up to now!

We will be visiting on the Sunday, mainly to look at accessorises for our new van, so will be giving Eddie a visit.

Having been to the show before the only thing I can say is that there was very little in the way of accessories and I came away very disappointed. :(

That is the reason we haven't been for some years. Looking at the exhibitors list this year, though, there seem to be more than there were.

We will be there, arriving Wednesday evening and staying at the temporary campsite and at the show on Thursday

John

Hi Lynd57, We are there on Tue and Wed. O/night on the C.C. site. Give us a Knock if you fancy a glass! Bolero with Funster stickers in windscreen. We will also wear our Funster name badges in the show.
Cheers

Was that the October NEC or the February NEC? The October show is considerably bigger than the February show. That said both shows are horrendously expensive to exhibit at for us smaller traders We have been attending for years and it doesn't get any easier IMG_0018.JPG We have a "slot" early Sunday morning to get the Van Bitz exhibition unit in, and we are at the show until a week the following Monday!

Talk about Stir Crazy lol

It was October Eddie but about 7 or 8 years ago. Having done many family history fairs I don't envy you.

how much to camp there and get in please?

For anyone thinking of attending the NEC Show it is worth booking your tickets in advance as cheaper & quicker to get in (y) Can even choose the email option & print your own tickets so no waiting. Even though you don't have to pay for children they still need a ticket to get in so don't forget to add these. Use code TCCW up to 12th October to buy at discounted rate - this offer is for Caravan Club members but never had to prove membership yet :) There may be other club offers out there but usually all a similar discount.
"Book your advanced member discounted tickets
Book tickets early and benefit from a special Caravan Club members advance ticket price of just £6.75 for seniors (60 + years) and £7.75 for adults*. Children age 16 years and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult/senior. Tickets include parking and a show guide (subject to availability).

*Ticket offer valid until 11.59pm October 12 2015, after which tickets revert to on-the-door prices: £11 Senior, £12 Adult. A transaction fee of £1.25 applies. "

We will be there probably on Saturday but could be Sunday......

@Judgemental to camp at the NEC see Caravan Club http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/uk-holidays/temporary-sites/nec-october-temporary-campsite-2015
Other options are the Holiday Inn Express at the NEC or the Travelodge (cheap but could work out dearer with breakfast depending on how many in a room) at the nearby airport.
For the Holiday Inn Express & if you use this link it discounts rooms a bit more Broken Link Removed . Same price for a double or family room ensuite with wifi & buffet breakfast is included although there is the extra charge of £7 for the hotel car park. With the Caravan Club charging £30/£35 for a pitch in the NEC car park & campsites locally charging pitches at a premium this may be an easier option for some for just for one night.
The pub "Little Owl" next door to the hotel is pleasant & the food is typical pub fare - it's worth signing up as a "friend" on their website as you may get sent a money off voucher. Also booking a table is a good idea as normally gets full as lots of visitors to the Show eat there. Hope all this helps anyone interested!

Thanks @Wombles ..Oh my £35 a night:D no wonder i gave u on UK shows years ago, but as we did not go to Dusseldorf as Hymer we wanted to see not displayed, we were thinking about this. No big deal we can go and stay with wife's family in Brum:)

scared to ask ho much is it to get in:D

Have been in the past and its a rubbish show in comparison to Germany to be honest and about 10 times as expensive.....:censored:

@Judgemental - we like the NEC October Show (spend 2 days there!) so think we would really love the Dusseldorf one if we can ever get there. We enjoy talking to the manufacturers & giving them some feedback & seeing all the latest innovations (y) Tickets at NEC not too bad if bought in advance - clip from my earlier post:
