I assume you are looking for a 240v model ?

I fitted one in my RV .. so any 240v domestic model that physically fits the wall space ..

I read somewhere on here I think of someone having a swing out towel rail but I can’t find it now! 😐

When we had a caravan I fitted a very low wattage one I think from screwfix and it worked great, it's just having a space to fit it. I fitted something like THIS and will do again if there is a space in the new van.

I have one fitted and also fitted one in my last RV. We normally use sites and explore with toad so 240v normally available. The warmest room to sit and cogitate.

We fitted this one in our last ‘van, 100w, 240v.
Kept the chill off overnight in winter too (on EHU, obs!)

Previous owner fitted one to our van, it works remarkably well when on EHU, however completely worthless for majority of our stays off grid. Interesting way they pulled electric to it too, they used a spur from the microwave feed through wall to our bath (which is next to kitchen).

It's very good though as bathroom is the least well heated part of van by the Truma, so it does take the edge off in colder seasons.

We had an extra socket fitted for ours when we bought the ‘van…..

We bought one from Amazon. It could be free-standing or fixed to the wall. 89 quid, I think. Works a treat on the bathroom wall. Only really use it when we are plugged in on site.

We fitted them with a dimmer switch. Not the modern ones but the rheostat type. We ran off the inverter. We used to keep it set at the lowest setting 24/7 when it was cold, even when off grid.

Take a look at Caravan Chronicles website I think he fitted a gate type to his caravan. He is a very smart chappie.

So very sad. I just visited Simons site (Caravan Chronicles) and left the recent pages gutted with tears in my eyes. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer last month. I wish him and his family all the best and good luck in their upcoming battle.

I fitted one to our B544 - wired it directly into the consumer unit but with a fuse spur in the cupboard so it can be isolated. I fed the cable through the cupboard floor to where the consumer unit is located. I did buy a stainless towel rail from Trade Radiators (800mm x 350mm) together with a Terma 120W element with Terma KTX 3 programmer which fits directly onto the element. The whole set up wasn't cheap (£300 ish) but we use our MH so much it's worth it to us. Our bathroom keeps nice and warm now as we can program the rail to come on when necessary. We filled it using R101 solution with deionised water and it's only filled 90% to allow for expansion.
