Hi all,

We want to take our son and daughter-in-law away for a weekend and looking for a site around the south coast, (Dorset, West Sussex etc.) that will acommodate a 36' RV, and ideally has a sea view.

Any suggestions anyone?

Cheers

Paul

hi Paul , A guyt at work has told me Durdle door is a great spot, there is a sea view but I am not certain its viewable unless your in a tent, would need to check..

he is paying 30£ a night I think so check that too.. :Eeek:

access is B roads I believe..

John

Thanks John,

Looks a great spot! Just checked out the satellite view in Google maps and there seems to be cars/caravan parking on grass between the main site and the beach, so wondering if this area is still part of the main site. If you could find out the name of the site I'd really appreciate it as it looks an ideal spot.

Cheers

Paul

Where is this site?? we may be interested for this weekend, is it your house/drive?

My House.

Hi, Yes it is my house and up a tarmac drive,,

I am away tomorrow at a rally,, till Sunday.

.

The only problem is my 5th wheel is parked right in the middle of the drive, which at the moment restricts the size of any other vehicles that park on the drive, and my son is in Germany with my Yanky truck till Monday, so I have no means of moving the 5th wheel to the side of the drive.

Regards
Maurice.

We went to the Durdle Door site in late April with our RV which is 34ft. No trouble getting into site at all, all pitches are long/big enough. The pitches with sea views are on top of cliff edge and were quite windy in April but should be ok at the moment. All those pitches have electric but a little walk from facilities which are basic. I have posted a review on this site.

On approaching site do not go through East Lulworth village as it is narrow, go 300 yards down the road and turn right by the little spar shop go past the church and site is on your left. That said my brother in his Concorde missed the sign saying road narrows and did manage to get through but it was tight!

Have a good trip:Cool:
