Any one replaced a Hymer roof vent 800 x 500 ?

I’m looking to replace my roof vent on my Hymer B564 it measures as 800mm x 500mm opening In roof. Not too worried about brand names as long as it does the job. I feel sure one of our happy throng will have done this in the past. Even looking to consider getting a larger vent but would require some knowledge of what’s in the cutout area ie electrics etc.

I doubt there would be any electrics in the cut out area apart from the wires to the lights in the internal vent surround which are easy to locate.
How big are you thinking of going ?

Sorry for the late reply in the Shetland’s on holibobs for a month so out of touch a lot,
I’ve been looking to replace it with a Heiki vent which would be marginally bigger about 100mm on length and 60mm on width? I’m a bit concerned about any wooden supports that might be in the cavity? there is a couple of 12v supply’s in there that would need to be re routed.

I changed our skyhatch when we had a B564... very easy swap, just be sure to use good Sikaflex sealant. I think I got the replacement hatch from Leisuredirect.

Thanks Homer Adria I’ll take a look leisuredirect soon. The vent just looks a bit naff atm as the plastic internals are a bit discoloured and Hymer want over a £100 to supply an insert for around the opening .
