This is not going well, my apologies. Wrote my info but can't paste it in
Engine battery renewed
Pic of wiring.
House lighting not working
Main control unit now has no power unless engine running.
Not sure where or how to fix it

That doesn't look like the main control unit to me, it looks more like the fuse board for the vehicle electrics, not the habitation fuses. However with those symptoms I would check the main fuse from the leisure battery to the habitation fuse box, wherever that is. It should be a big fuse, 30A to 50A, located very near the leisure battery.

The Green 30 amp maxi blade fuse looks like the main supply fuse take it out and if it looks OK check it with a meter to make sure. Sometimes they look OK but are blown or high resistance.

And breath.
Your a long time member from 2009 and I presume motorhomer, issues happen and can be sorted.
A few specifics of van make/model/age etc would help.

Judging from the photo it appears to be a sprinter based motorhome, have you checked the leisure batteries with a meter? That would be my first test.

Just to add to Lenny HB suggestion check the fuse for continuity using the “sound/speaker” setting on a multi meter. No sound = duff fuse.

I might have posted this before but its even easier to spot a blown blade fuse by the little metal spots
on the front of the fuse. Set meter to volts or using a test lamp prod, earth one side then go along the shiny spots till you find one with no output.
